On September 17, 2024, CTGE was invited to participate in the All Electric Society International Summit (AES Summit) held in the northern Spanish city of Gijón. The summit brought together leaders, experts and business representatives from the global renewable energy industry to discuss the latest trends, technological innovations and sustainable development strategies in the current energy sector. CTGE's participation fully demonstrated its strong commitment to green energy development.
CTGE's CEO Ignacio delivered a speech at the summit, sharing the company's insights on renewable energy investment, technological innovation and the sustainable development of the industry. He noted, "One of CTGE's primary goals is to achieve 'carbon neutrality.' While the Global Energy Agency's goal is to be carbon neutral by 2050, we are committed to achieving this in a much shorter timeframe and even aim to achieve 'net zero emissions' beyond current industry standards."
In addition, Ignacio shared CTGE's environmental and biodiversity conservation measures in its solar and wind projects. He concluded by emphasizing that "in 2023, the company produced green electricity that reduced carbon dioxide emissions by more than 720,000 tons and provided green energy to more than 1 million households."
Through this summit, CTGE has demonstrated to the industry its commitment and achievements in the fields of renewable energy development and promoting the energy transition in Europe. In the future, the company will continue to advance its sustainable development strategy in the Spanish and European markets, support green transformation, and actively practice environmental protection to create a more sustainable future.
